Mike,
1. When a tune calls for the solo section to be "minor blues", which version of minor blues do you default to? 2. Have you ever played Nostalgia in Times Square? If so, did you follow the chord progression exactly or did you alter the progression for stronger root movement?
Thanks, Joe

Joe, Hope all is well. Minor Blues, I usually paly the standard with either the b6 dome 7 to the V7 or the b3Majj7 to a II-V turnaround
I playe Nostalgia in Time Square as a looped tune, so I usually keep the original chord progression as written. I have tried some reharms but have never liked it as much as the original.

Mike,
Thanks so much for your reply. For the minor blues, the keyboard player and I just picked a iim7b5, V7, i7, V7 for the last 4 bars. We figured we could just change it whenever we wanted to.
I worked out Nostalgia today. I listened to a few different versions and stuck to the orig. chord changes.
Thanks again for the input and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Joe
