Hi Mike,

I was wondering if you will be putting out any upcoming books/CDs, that will teach Chord melody arrangements similar to what you did with your Solo Bass Arrangement of Saint James Infirmary in Bassics Magazine: perhaps some lengthier versions?

I’ve just started picking up the Bass rather late in life, but have been thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve played several instruments before the bass, and for the last 10 years I’ve enjoyed playing finger style guitar—but I really enjoy playing the bass much more: and your Saint James Infirmary arrangement looks like a fun way of playing finger style melodies on my bass.

Is there a more complete or lengthier TAB version of Saint James Infirmary available?

Thanks,

Isa

I have a book entitled the Art of Solo Bass that was supposed to be released by Mel Bay a while ago - but they keep putting it off. It has some cool arrangements. So for now, there are the lessons in Bassics and on the lessons page of my website aat: http://www.michaeldimin.com/lessons.htm

As for St. James Infimray - for the purposes of the magazine I only wrote a short arrangememnt. But if you use the techniques that I present in that articvle and some of the later ones (as well as those in my book, The Chordal Approach) you can, using ym arangement as a guide, create your own.
