Mike,

I've heard you play fretless before, but have you done any of your chordal playing on a fretless?

I actually wrote many of the arrangments that I play on Fretless. When I started this whole chordal thing, all I had was an old Pedulla Fretless. Now, I only use the fretless on tunes that are specifically written for it, such as There Are No Accidents on the new disc.

I was not aware of that. What made you lean toward using a fretted bass? Was your fretless playing inspired by Jaco? I know that he is a major influence for you.
